From booking timelines to henna aftercare — we've gathered the most common questions from our brides. Can't find what you're looking for? Just ask on WhatsApp.

For bridal services, we recommend booking as early as possible — ideally 6 to 12 months before your wedding date. Peak wedding season in Cape Town (October to April) books up quickly. For henna nights and engagement functions, 3 to 6 months in advance is generally sufficient. Please do not hesitate to reach out even if your date is sooner — we always do our best to accommodate.

Yes, and we highly recommend a trial session for bridal hair and makeup. Trials allow us to get to know your preferences, test products on your skin, and refine the look before the big day so that on your wedding morning, everything runs smoothly. Trials are booked as separate appointments.

We are based in Cape Town and serve the greater Western Cape area including the Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch, Paarl, and the Garden Route. Travel fees may apply for venues beyond Cape Town. Please mention your venue location when making an enquiry.

We use only 100% natural, freshly mixed Rajasthani henna — never black henna or henna containing PPD (para-phenylenediamine), which can cause severe allergic reactions. Our henna is made from pure henna leaf powder mixed fresh for each appointment. If you have known skin sensitivities, please let us know in advance and we can discuss a small patch test.

Full bridal henna (both hands, including fingers, palms, and extending up the arms) typically takes 3 to 5 hours depending on the intricacy of the design. For a henna night with multiple guests, timing depends on the number of people and the complexity of designs requested. We plan accordingly when we discuss your booking.

We primarily use MAC Cosmetics and SwiitchBeauty, both of which are professional-grade, long-wearing products suited to the heat and celebration of a South African wedding day. All our products are cruelty-free. If you have specific product preferences or allergies, please let us know.

Absolutely. With nearly 20 years of experience serving Cape Town's diverse Indian community, we are equally proficient in North Indian (Punjabi, Rajasthani, Gujarati) and South Indian (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada) bridal traditions. We take pride in honouring each community's unique customs accurately.

Yes, many of our brides book multiple services together — henna, hair and makeup, bridal styling, and garlands are a natural combination for a full bridal experience. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs and we will put together a personalised package for you.

For the best henna results: cleanse your skin thoroughly before the appointment (avoid oils, lotions, or creams on the areas to be hennaed), wear comfortable, loose clothing that gives easy access to your hands and arms, plan to rest and keep the henna on for at least 6 to 8 hours after application (overnight is best), and avoid water contact for the first 24 hours after removing the henna paste.

Natural henna can last anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks depending on your skin type, how long you left the paste on, and how well you care for it afterwards. Hands tend to show darker, longer-lasting results. We provide full aftercare instructions with every henna appointment.

Yes! We make garlands for the entire wedding — bride, groom, parents, and the wedding party. Each garland is made fresh on the day using the flowers and colour palette you choose. We can coordinate with your florist or work independently, depending on your preference.

We understand that wedding plans can change. A deposit is required to secure your booking date. We ask for as much notice as possible for any changes — ideally a minimum of 4 weeks for major changes or cancellations. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation and we will work with you as kindly as possible.

Absolutely. We love collaborating with the wonderful network of wedding professionals in Cape Town. We are experienced at working within the timeline of a wedding day and coordinating with photographers for makeup reveals, dressing shots, and henna photography. Please feel free to share our details with your other vendors.

True allergic reactions to pure natural henna are extremely rare. If you have any concerns, a patch test can be arranged prior to your booking. In the very unlikely event of a reaction on the day, we carry first aid and will guide you through the appropriate steps. Your safety is always our priority.
