Her Story
Two Decades of Passion,
One Bride at a Time
Tineesha Mari Olsen has been waking up brides on their most sacred mornings for over 20 years. Born into Cape Town's vibrant Indian community, she grew up surrounded by the sights, scents, and ceremonies of Tamil and North Indian weddings — jasmine strewn hallways, the earthy perfume of fresh henna, silk sarees shimmering under the South African sun.
A qualified somatologist with formal training in skincare, aesthetics, and holistic beauty therapy, Tineesha brings a depth of professional knowledge that sets her apart. She understands skin — how it responds to makeup, how it carries the story of who you are — and she uses that understanding to create bridal looks that feel as beautiful from within as they appear without.
Her mastery of henna is near-legendary in Cape Town's wedding community. Nearly 20 years of drawing intricate Rajasthani, Arabic, and fusion designs has given her hands an almost meditative surety. Each design is unique — drawn without stencils, guided by an intuitive understanding of proportion, flow, and the bride's own energy.
Whether she is pinning a Kanchipuram silk drape with millimetre precision, weaving jasmine through a South Indian braid, or blending a base that disappears seamlessly into brown South African skin, Tineesha approaches every task with the same unhurried devotion. She believes that beauty, at its finest, is simply the art of helping someone recognise themselves.
My Philosophy
Beauty Rooted in Belonging
For every bride I serve, I ask one question: how do you want to feel when you look in the mirror? Everything else follows from the answer.
Every bride deserves to feel truly seen — her heritage honoured, her beauty celebrated.
I never rush. Each appointment is held with reverence, patience, and artistry.
Tradition and modernity are not opposites — they are conversation partners.
The bride's comfort and confidence are the foundation of every look I create.
I work with brides from every corner of the Indian subcontinent — Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, Gujarati, Rajasthani, and everything in between. I take deep pride in getting the traditions right: the correct way to set a madisar, the proper order of jewellery for a Tamil bride, the precise pleating of a Banarasi lehenga. These details matter. They are not decoration — they are devotion.
